The Simpsons is a popular American animated Sitcom, and the longest (American) running animated animated program in history, starting out as 48 3-minute shorts on the Tracey Ullman Show, on April 19th 1987, before being made into it's own series "The Simpsons" on December 17th, 1989.

If you include the shorts as part of the Timeline, The Simpsons will be older than I am.
