Its been a while since we interviewed someone, and I am happy to announce with the return I thought we should interview someone that was left out, he is our Turkish Moderator, most people know him as Hoochie Coochie Man now he goes by *erhan.
1. How long have you been writing themes for SMF?I have wrote themes for SMF only seven months. Yeah you can figure out with looking my first (blues) and last (cloud) theme. So I started making themes on January 2008. And I retired on July 2008 and starting support theme authors.
2. Where do you draw your inspiration for creating new themes?You can’t believe it caouse my inspiration area is my bed. I have a nice imagination I think. Because I don’t like ordenary designs much, I always wanted tu use different ideas, so i did. I made SMF’s most colorful theme, SMF’s first auto style theme and SMF’s first accordion theme.
3. If you had one piece of advice for "newbie" theme creators what would it be?Do not make themes for popularity,
Do not make themes quickly,
Before you make a theme, just think the design on your head,
Color combination is very important. Just use it carefully.
4. If you could pick just one theme as your favourite theme which one is it?It’s a really hard question and I’m sorry but I can’t tell you theme name, but I can tell you theme creators, They are Eren and Bikken.
5. What takes up your time when your not banging your head against a computer screen?I spent most of time with my girl friend Elif and with my friends. I love listen to music. You coldn’t do much thing on autumn
6. Finally, if you could submit one do and one don't for creating a theme what would it be?Do: Keep your themes clean and nice layout, be plain.
Don’t: Do not irritate your theme much, and don’t mess it up, make a nice and clean layout.
